It is important to know that not all medications, branded or generics, work the same for all patients.

Make sure that your doctor prescribes Brand-Name NEXIUM, and that your pharmacist gives you Brand-Name NEXIUM. NEXIUM 40 mg is only available with a prescription.

2 STEPS TO GET BRAND-NAME NEXIUM

  1. 1 Ask your doctor
    to write NEXIUM and “dispense as written” on the prescription.
  2. 2 Make sure
    your pharmacist fills your prescription with Brand-Name NEXIUM. The medication name on the prescription bottle should be NEXIUM.

NEXIUM Delayed-Release Capsules

Prescriptions available in 20 mg and 40 mg doses.

Once-daily dosing by mouth, at least 1 hour before a meal.[*] [†]

Two dark purple colour capsules with variable sizes and text help in differentiating the 20 mg capsule from the 40 mg capsule. A 20 mg capsule is smaller in size with imprinted “Nexium 20 mg” on the lower side and has two bold lines encircle on the other half of the capsule in yellow. A 40 mg capsule is slightly larger in size with imprinted “Nexium 40 mg” on the lower side and three lines encircling the other half of the capsule in yellow.

NEXIUM Packets for Delayed-Release Oral Suspension

Available in 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg single-dose packets.
